My name is Dr. Veneta Kozhuharova and I graduated with a Master’s Degree in 2008 from University of Forestry, Veterinary Medicine Faculty, Sofia, Bulgaria as a veterinary surgeon.
I spent the next three years working as a veterinary officer in the government public health services and import official veterinarian. I was volunteering in a charity small animal practice.
Working for the government public health services gave me extensive knowledge about exports, imports and food safety.
In 2011, I became a Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and since then I have been practising in the United Kingdom.
Since 2012, I have been an Export Certification Official Veterinarian approved by the APHA, helping companies to export their products from animal origin and obtaining import permits if needed. I own an export company called Export Health Certification Services.
In 2016, I received a bursary from Royal Canin to study Small Animal Clinical Nutrition and in 2017 I was awarded with Level 4 Certificate in Canine and Feline Health Nutrition.
In 2019, I established my own veterinary practice Associated Veterinary Services and the export certification company Export Health Certification Services.
I studied and got certified in Raw Dog Food Nutrition and Acute Canine Herbalism.
I am a member of the Raw Feeding Veterinary Society.
In 2017 I developed Doggy's Cuppa, range of herbal teas for dogs. The range won an award for the Best Hydration Products for Dogs for 2018 and it was one of the finalists for the prestigious PETQUIP Award for Healthy Dog Innovation in the same year.
Doggy’s Cuppa range tackles the most common conditions seen in every day veterinary practice and consists of general health tonics, brews to address upset digestion or urinary issues and blends for anxious, obese, aging and sport/working dogs. On the following year The Doggy's Cuppa was bought from Pawfect Food.
I founded Diets for Dogs, an online canine nutrition consultation service to help dog owners feed their four-legged friends’ healthier diets. I have a holistic approach and advocate fresh and functional feeding regimes. I respect dog owner’s ethos and endorse vegan and vegetarian diets.
I have written several articles for the Dogs Naturally Magazine for nutrition of dogs with medical conditions.
